Inspired by Kalita's unique blend of vibrant colors and minimalist design, our team embarked on creating a coffee scale that not only meets the practical needs of brewing but also adds a touch of playfulness and style to any coffee lover's setup.

The Inspiration
We drew inspiration from Kalita's vibrant use of color and simple geometric shapes to design a coffee scale that seamlessly integrates into a playful and lively coffee setup, enhancing both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the brewing experience.
Concept Ideation and Prototyping
Three distinct concepts were created and prototyped during the ideation process, each inspired by modern aesthetics for the coffee brewing process while maintaining the Kalita brand's values. The aim was to experiment on how to blend functionality, aesthetics, and user experience to resonate with Kalita’s commitment to precision and quality in coffee brewing.
Final Prototype and Presentation
We selected one design from the three initial concepts we developed, which was then fully prototyped and rendered using Blender. The final prototype was showcased at KEXPO 2024, held at KTH University.
