After spending much of my life in Shanghai, I moved to Tokyo for six months to take language courses. During that time, I found myself reflecting deeply on my cultural heritage, identity, and comfort zones. Drawing became my primary way to process these thoughts, especially as many of my friends were experiencing similar feelings about growing older and holding on to a sense of home. This project took off in the autumn of 2018, born from that shared experience. In a little at-home DIY screenprint workshop, I quickly found a way to reproduce prints. Since it was experimental, I chose to donate the proceeds, and within six months, received over 300 orders. This period was invaluable for learning about branding, building a small business, and web development through a passion-driven project.
